The Outpost Academy is your course to a better performance, whether it is fishing, photography, or hunting. Our goal is to offer you access and hands on instruction from some of the top professionals in the field in order to further your skill sets as an angler, photographer, hunter, or even BBQ’er! We offer courses in all levels of skill types from beginner kids fishing clinics to advanced gator hunt techniques. View our upcoming calendar to reserve your spot at our next academy.
Junior anglers, each month we will be hosting a kids fishing clinic with Guy Harvey Resort Junior Pro Cricket Coates starting November 16th. Cricket along with members of her High School Fishing Team will help junior anglers learn the basics of fishing through the IGFA’s Passport to Fishing Stations, which includes knot tying, tackle, casting, conservation. This class is FREE to junior anglers. We ask that you please notify us if you plan on attending and meet at the Outfitter Shop 15 minutes before the Kids Angler Academy begins

Join us for the Rock ‘N’ Brews BBQ Weekend at Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort. Here we will be hosting a Kid’s BBQ Academy & Burger Cookoff. Kids learn from BBQ Professionals and compete in their very own burger cookoff!

Junior anglers enjoyed a fund day of learning how to be a better angler with Bass Pro Bobby Lane, Yamaha, IGFA, Pure Fishing, and Captains For Clean Waters. Junior anglers were able to complete activities from knot tying, casting, cast netting, conservation, and boating safety.
Guy Harvey Resort Guide, Dave Markett provided tip and techniques for Gator Hunting. Dave walked through every step of the process from getting the permits, the actual hunt, getting the ‘gator processed for eating and then finally help with taxidermy for your trophy.
Junior Anglers enjoyed a fun day with hands on instruction from the IGFA Staff on how to become a better angler through their Passport To Fishing Stations, which included knot tying, casting, tackle, and conservation stations. After completing each station kids enjoyed time to fish from the dock.
