Chili Cook-off & Cornhole Competition

Join us Saturday, September 25th at Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort for a sanctioned ICS Chili Cook-off Competition! This is a fun filled family weekend with Chili Cook Teams being able to compete in International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned event in either the Traditional Red, Homestyle, Verde, and Salsa Categories as either an Adult or Youth Team. Teams will be judged, and the winner will be crowned as the Camp Mack champion. For chili enthusiasts we will have food trucks, chili tastings and vendors at the Riverfront who will be selling food and chili the day of the event.

ICS Chili Cook-Off

We encourage cooks of all levels to join as it is an excellent opportunity to learn from the pros and join in the comradery. Teams will be able to compete in either adult or youth divisions in any or all of the categories including Traditional Red, Homestyle, Verde or Salsa. Chili Cook-Off Team Entries

  • Adult Division: $25 Per Category for Traditional Red, Homestyle, Verde and Salsa Categories. This includes a 10 x 10 space. Cooks must provide their own canopy/tent, tables & chairs, and supplies.
  • Youth Division: $10 This includes a 10 x 10 space. Cooks must provide their own canopy/tent, tables & chairs, and supplies.

COOK-OFF CATEGORIES

Traditional Red

Traditional Red Chili is any kind of meat, or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. Beans and non-vegetable fillers such as rice and pasta are not allowed. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Red – 25% of Chili Entries
  • 2nd Place Red – 15% of Chili Entries
  • 3rd Place Red – 10% of Chili Entries

Homestyle

Homestyle Chili is any kind of meat, or combination of meats, and/or vegetables cooked with beans, chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. Homestyle chili may be any color. Beans are required. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat. Seafood is allowed.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Homestyle – 12.5% of Chili Entries
  • 2nd Place Homestyle – 7.5% of Chili Entries
  • 3rd Place Homestyle – 5% of Chili Entries

Verde Chili

Chili Verde is any kind of meat, or combination of meats, cooked with green chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. Non-vegetable fillers such as rice and pasta are not allowed. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Verde – 12.5% of Chili Entries
  • 2nd Place Verde – 7.5% of Chili Entries
  • 3rd Place Homestyle – 5% of Chili Entries

Salsa

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Verde – 50% of Salsa Entries
  • 2nd Place Verde – 35% of Salsa Entries
  • 3rd Place Salsa – 15% of Salsa Entries

People’s Choice Chili

Tickets will be sold for the people’s choice. Come out and support all the cook teams and help select the Camp Mack People’s Choice Winner. Winner of the people’s choice will receive a trophy.

Best Booth

Decorate your booth for a chance to win Fire on the Lake Best Designed Booth.

CRAFT SHOW

Craft Show will be from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. Explore a number of booths featuring a variety of crafters and artisans. You will find unique original handmade items, paintings and more. Craft Vendors can register for the show below

GENERAL ADMISSION & TICKETS SALES

General Admission

General Admission is free to people who attend and $20 for People’s Choice – Chili Tasting.
