Walk back in time at Lake Kissimmee Parks Cow Camp.  As you meander down the trail to the Cow Camp, you travel back in time to 1876. At the end of the trail you will find a Florida Cow Hunter in a frontier camp nestled under a picturesque oak hammock within the route of the cattle drive. The cow hunter will be cooking, making coffee, tending to the cattle or just resting up, until he has caught the cows in the area and moves to the next cow camp.  Park entry fee is required.  For more information contact andrea.henry@floridadep.gov.

Lake Kissimmee State Park Guided Hike @ Lake Kissimmee State Park

Join a park ranger for a 2.5 mile round trip hike on one of the beautiful hiking trails at Lake Kissimmee State Park. The hike is moderate level and is recommended for children 6 and up. It is suggested to wear closed toe shoes and bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Please call the ranger station to sign up. Lake Kissimmee State Park Guided Kayak Tour @ Lake Kissimmee State Park

Take a 90 minute paddle down the Zipper Canal that flows through the center of Lake Kissimmee State Park to Lake Rosalie. This ranger led tour will give you an appreciation of the flora and fauna found in this area of the state, and some history about the park. Tours are limited to 6 kayaks; bring your own or rent one from the concession in the park. • Kayak Tours begin at 9 am at the wood bridge. • Tour limited to 6 kayaks. • Park entry fee required (no fee for tour) • Please bring a water bottle, and sunscreen. • Be prepared to be in the sun and water for 2 hours.
