Blazing Bass Challenge

Join us for the 2nd qualifying tournament of the Bonfire Series Tournament & Festival with the Blazing Bass Challenge on June 3-4th at Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort. Blazing Bass Challenge will feature 1-day Fishing Tournament on Saturday, our signature bonfire party, and weekend of activities including live music, food and fun for anglers and non-anglers to enjoy!

The Bonfire Series includes three 1-day tournaments qualifiers: the Lunker Lovin’ Smackdown (April 2), the Blazing Bass Challenge (July 16) and the Tickled Pink Playoff (September 24). The series concludes with the Bonfire Shootout, a two-day tournament (November 5-6th). Anglers can participate in either the Open Division at $100 / Angler or Family Division of $100 / Team, which team registration will include entry into Big Fish Pot. The Family Division is eligible only to junior anglers who are in elementary/ high school or graduate high school in 2022 and fish with his/her parent or grandparent as a team member. Proceeds for the Blazing Bass Challenge will be donated to the Bobby Lane Cup Scholarships. In 2010 Bobby Lane started his first tournament geared towards Jr. Anglers and High School anglers, the Bobby Lane Cup. This tournament provides a platform for Bobby to encourage our youth to get outdoors and start fishing and introduce them to competitive bass fishing! With the help of the Bartow Yellow Jackets and the Lakeland Jr. Bass Masters he has provided a platform to raise money for scholarships for further education after high school!

The Goal of the Bobby Lane Cup is to further the love of fishing in our youth and to raise money to provide scholarships to those students involved in the sport of bass fishing.

Anglers & non-anglers join us during the Blazing Bass Challenge for our Lovin’ the Lake Cleanup & Roundup. Anglers and non-anglers who return a bag full of garbage an our issued AFTCO bag will receive a gift card from AFTCO! Cleanup for non-anglers will be from 9:00 am – 11:00 am with Keep Polk County Beautiful and participants can meet at Gator Mack’s!

For those who are participating please visit our Lovin’ the Lake Facebook page and let us know you are attending!
